Awning replacement

Some storms rolled through while I was at work the other day (1/2 hour drive from home). I couldn't make it home in time to save the awing, which I was in the process of cleaning, from bring ripped off the TT and the roll tube destroyed.



While the price of the awning and hardware doesn't upset me too much (after all I was stupid enough to leave the awning down while not at home) but one RV shop told me that installation would cast $225! This seemed a bit steep to me.



Am I getting hosed?

225 sounds about right ... . same thing happened to me a few years ago ... and I bought new one and did it myself ... ... . if it were to happen again ... I'd pay someone else to do the job ... it's not a bad job ... just a PITA >. .

Hi Tbone

They are a PITA even if you know how to do it.

We left ours down last year in Nevada,When

we left it was 95 deg. no wind. A guy at the

campground said a dirtdevil came up the road

and shot in got our awining and went right

back out . It fliped it on the roof, new 5th wheel

and ladder on the back. theres a lot of nice

people in campgrounds.
