I recently had a problem with my almost 1 year old CON-OFE clutch from South Bend (see post Strange problem with Con-ofe if interested) that could be blamed on a poor installation as easily as a defective part. In the end, there is no real way to tell why it failed, just that it did. I called Pete at South Bend Clutch today to talk to him about it and after just a few questions he offered to send me the replacement parts free of charge. I got no doubt, arguement, or runaround from him. Not that I expected to, but generally in the automotive industry it is a bit hard to get some companies to stand behind their product. Anyone ever try to get Chrysler to warranty an injection pump that failed due to a bad lift pump? You see my point.
Anyway, the people at South Bend Clutch are incredibly trustworthy and honorable. They stand behind their products and I will be the first to sing their praises. Hopefully mine lasts a long time, but if I ever need another one I'll be sure to get a South Bend Clutch.
Thanks again Pete! Keep up the great work.
