Changing the axle fluid for the fist time at 15K. What do you recommend? Does Redline get any respect for AAM axles, or should I stick to the recommended stuff?

Has anyone had any problems using the thicker 85/140,I tow alittle bit(tt around 7500 lbs ) but I only do it maybe 10 times a year and was wondering if the thicker stuff in the winter would be to much for the rear. I will definitely use synthetic but something I was wondering about.

any good quality synthetic will do, I like Redline but I was able to buy Amsoil so much cheaper that I went that way.

BTW you do NOT need a friction modifier.

75W-90 is the recommended viscosity, and is more than adequte in the AAM Axles.

I use the Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90 fluid.
