Off Roading Axle Identifying??

I have a 1970 IH Scout 800A and I am trying to identify the axles it has in it. I don't know if they are original or not but I'm hoping they are Dana 44's. How do I tell?

A quick way about it is to look at a summit racing catalogue at the cover gaskets they have and see if they match your diff covers.



D44's should have 44 cast into the pumpkin somewhere on the top side.
