axle question about Kit

First Measure the axle OD , I know the tag is on the axle but hard if not impossible to read , I did not have a caliper so i cut out a 3'' hole in the side of a card board scrap, and used it to size the OD . Under the trailer 2 3/8 and 3'' look the same to me . Ifyou go to www.dexteraxle.com market place , shop on line scrowl down to OVER/UNDER KIT . You will see a not to clear photo of the kit you get 8 nuts 2 spring seats (saddels) with long bolts welded to under side of the spring seats with the nuts (long about 1 3/4 '' attached ) in photo. plus 2 U bolts 2 plates . The orignal spring seats are used to spot the new spring seats on top of the axle with the use of the welded bolts and the long nuts , place the spring seat on top and adjust the nuts to seat the spring pad (saddle)parallel with the bottom of the original welded spring pad to with in 1/32'' and pad firmly seated on the tube , this is for paralleism,not height. make sure that both adjustment nuts contact orignal spring pad ,I welded my adjustment nuts in place . to insure parallel seats I used a tape measure at each side and was about 4 2/32'' on all four pads, I did one side at a time kept the wheel on the second axle to be safe , worked ok except had to dig to put wheel back on without jacking trailer up any more than it was , I kept the trailer hooked up to the Truck as a safty measure and blocked other side . I only had to cut two whires on each axle street side and doing it this way no need to move axle location bend remained up the rest was strugle to put back the springs and bolts . one thing I am making new bumper stop spacers to limit the axle movement to what it was before approx I hope and will have to mod the shock mounts old plates had place for mount of shock .
