Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Axles

I've got a 1995 Dodge 3/4 ton diesel 2 wheel drive, i have an inner seal leaking. Does anybody know if you need a special socket to remove the hub? What kind of axle is it?

Dana 70 if you have a auto trans

Dana 80 if you have a manual trans



I believe you need a 1. 75" rounded corner socket, but I'm not sure.

Special socket

I cant say that our are the same but my 99 4X4 70 uses a special socket. Go to Snap-on's sight and search for "Dana 70" and you will see the socket there... ... Chris
