Wow, and they were the ones that were caught due to commercial inspections. Makes you wonder how many private vehicles are doing the same. But that's a non violent crime so they would be released under the Obama doctrine. I wonder if that stupid idea still stands.

My first thought was how stupid do you have to be to do that when running commercial, knowing full well you are subject to inspection? Drug runners used to run incognito in cars and SUVs. Scumbags should rot in jail.

The Hope Vally barracks of the R.I. State Police routinely make drug busts on route 95 northbound. Generally it’s either a rental or privately owned with NY plates and a trunk full of dope. Usually running 15-20 mph over the limit, begging to get pulled over. The dog comes out and gives them probable cause if they refuse a search. You don’t have to be smart to make money in the drug business.

Oh, I am well aware. I have many friends and customers back east that were NJSP, and have heard the same. If I say much more it would have to go to the political forum, so I'll leave it there.

I-40 is a heavy drug route. Navajo County and DPS get several every year about this size. For years they were using Greyhound until the cops got on to them and put a stop to that. A rental vehicle is a red flag to them, dang they have a good eye when they are on the scent (cops).

The heck of it is, Navajo County is a poor county, yet now they have to house and prosecute the offenders that were headed for parts east. They just passed a 1/3 cent sales tax to help the County try and overcome the coal mine and power plant that is closed/closing.

May I assume the coal plant will be replaced with more expensive “Green Energy”?

Yup, we got a wind farm now, Lol Navajo County has a huge Helium and Potash reserve, yet the resistance to development is crazy..... In all fairness, the Potash price dropped so that has been put on hold.

They shuttered two huge coal plants on the lake thanks to the Obama era. I was in the one that we shared cooling water with before it closed, talk about a work of art. Built in 1903? The instrumentation and miles of copper plumbing was incredible. Those were some real craftsman back in the day. And they super clean and well kept. When they left they literally shut the plant down and walked out. Being so much of the plant relied on cooling water the first winter wreaked havoc on that place. Piping and exchangers literally split from the freeze. 3/4" studs sheared. It looks like a bomb went off in some parts. We occasionally have to go in there to throw breakers for our large cooling water pumps. Seeing it the way it is, I can't help but get a feeling of sadness knowing how many families that place once supported and how well it was taken care of.

I read that MRI machines use helium, and when the gov eliminated the strategic reserve, from the blimp era, the price really jumped.

Hope the BOTH get heavy prison time. That crap they are transporting kills people. Hope the State owns a used truck too.
