Sounds stupid but look at all the idiots on TV with their N95 masks on their forehead or only covering their mouth. Now look at them with the big gap at the sides of the nose. You think the general public is smart enough to PROPERLY wear a N95 mask? I don't think so.

I would trust what I pictured with a paper towel just as much as a N95 for the general public. A specialist mentioned the paper towel method and I agree it will work well.

I think we all know that the new mask procedure is to protect the other guy. With all the time I’ve spent on brush fires and in dusty landings I can say with certainty a damp bandanna across the nose and mouth beats a poorly worn mask. I’m sure it works in both directions.
