So you're saying that Kurt Yardley's B-1 Turbo that he's been selling for 1. 5-2 yrs. is a copy of this guy's turbo?:--)

The B-1 is a great turbo. It could have a little bigger compresser wheel on it, but i don't know how dependable it would be. It is by far one of the strongest turbos i've seen. But if i were u, i'd hold onto my wallet for about 3-6 months. There are some new twins that are coming out that are very reasonably priced and a new hx-35 and a new hx-40 direct bolt in replacements that will nock your socks off. Everything is going varible vein. These new turbos are so fast, its like driving a supercharged truck. Airwerks, which is the aftermarket division of Borg-Warner-Switzer, have really got their stuff together. Like i said just give it 3-6 months and turbos will never be the same again.

Somethings were just meant to stay behind the scenes. Or, Trade secrets as most call them.

Ken Builds a good turbo. I have a cusatomer of mine down in Florida, that absolutely loves his. Although 52+PSI with 80HP injectos, a drag comp, with a stock headgasket is asking for trouble, he loves it.

The B turbo's are a great addition to our B series motors.

If you are making 375-500RWHP, that's great, but, when you want to get serious give me a call. I've got hybrids that will make your B turbos feel 2" tall, and you'll be able to put down 50% for some EDM injectors, and still not spend as much as a properly equppied B-1.

Might want to check the status of your caps lock button before you start typing too. Not everybody enjoys being yelled at.

Okay, total noob question here. Who is the original manufacturer of the core B1 and B2 turbos? Are they Holsets? Garretts?

Are they a series of Holset that has departed from the HX and HY designator?

Also, are they a commercial application unit, or built (in stock form) strictly for aftermarket use?

thanks!Oo.

You are not alone in the under 14 department at Bandimere. I am in the 13's with only a hybrid HX40, 90 hp injectors, non-drag version of the PE- comp, and #2 only. There are several others.

I think the compressor housing is a schwitzer but i could be wrong. As Far as the rest of the turbo im not sure what it is. I had a B1-B all summer & it was a great turbo it took alot of nitrous & 50 + psi & it never came apart.

Don't all PM's come with a user name/handle? Then a quick search for that name/handle might reveal a post where they stated their name.

Jake that is a trailer queen, looks to me like it's pulling several versions of one  and you pulled one up to Piers's also as I remember.

LOL Jim, I guess your right:p, actualy the person in question (we'll see if they are man enough to setup forward) acused me of never driving my truck and towing it everwhere.

B1 Bomber

I own the 03 Dodge that A2Z diesel was refering to and i love the B1. I've tried several turbos incliding the K-45 and several versions of the B1 and while working with Ben and Kenny found a version of the quick spool B1 worked by far the best. It will boost around 53 puonds know finding the fuel is the problem know. As far as anything over 500hp that the B1 may not be adequate like Laredo Performance Diesel suggested well i guess maybe they are trying to scare up some bussiness. Just ask Maddog or HVAC what turbos they are running. I'm not yelling at anyone as you can tell BECAUSE I DID NOT USE CAPITOL LETTERS.

HHHmmmmm......

I wonder why I only get 46psi max out of my B-1 quick spool, and that's before and after the cam change...

If I remember correctly Jetpilot was getting around 46psi with a similar setup as mine.

I think I see a set of twins in my future... ... .
