What's the difference between a B-1-EX-4 and the B-1-Steriod Turbos? Anybody have a clue?

And what's different between a B-2 and a Big Brother?

Can anybody make some sense with Map ranges between the turbos mentioned? CFM flow comparisons?

the steroid is not for street use--eventhough I have and may put mine back on--I think the ex-4 has an exhaust hookup like the HX40--but I really haven't been paying to much attn to turbos or truck doings lately so I could be wrong on the ex-4--

the B2 is a big turbo and the big brother is bigger yet--these are used primarily in twin setups---I'm sure someone probably uses them for big singles in their comp trucks--but again I'm just surmising here on that--

I don't know about the maps and people are reluctant to say squat, so as to keep their secrets--chris

correct on the ex4. ex3 has the HX35 outlet (so the same downpipe can e used), ex4 has the HX40 outlet. I believe the 'standard' outlet is the 4" flange with a full marmon(?) outlet, takes the flared downpipe.

I had a B1-2-EX4 delivered to me and I was expecting a B1-EX4- the only difference that I seen was different wheels on either end- same turbine cases & compressor cases... ... Flow? Speed at which Flow occors fastest? Rate of peak flow?

I think you'll be hard pressed to find the info you want--but maybe someone who knows will pipe in, but don't be surprised if no one answers---chris

Yeah I kinda figured that- but still needed to try... ... :(

Nobody even have CFM flow rates?? somebody  anybody :p

Like a stiff fart went off -----jeez

The B1-2-EX4 has a more aggresive exhaust wheel, you tend to have a little bit more back pressure but faster spool up with the -2 wheel. Other wise everthing else about the turbo is the same as the B1-EX4. On flow rates the B1 compresor housing is supposed to be around 900cfm with a 14cm exhaust housing. I do not know about the B1 on steriod cfm but its probably only a little bit more than the standard B1.

have you tried a search to see--I probably have some of that info sitting in a delinquent brain cell--if I remember it I'll let you know--but right now I can't think of it--all that stuff was so top secret, that I tend to tune it out when I hear it, plus I could care less about maps and flows--either it works or it don't and what works for me may not work for others--some stuff I remember other stuff I can't--too many guiness maybe--I don't know---chris
