As posted in the classifieds, I have a B-1 turbo with downpipe (with welded flange) for sale. The turbo has less than 4k miles on it and works flawlessly, but I need to sell it for the $$$ :( . Feel free to contact me or look up the ad for pricing or questions.

Thanks!

John

Hey Tim,

Sorry about not getting my profile setup... I didn't fill everything out. My name is John Porterfield, Jr. and I live in New Bern, North Carolina. My dad (John_P) has posted here quite a bit, but I just started posting here and a couple other sites after I got my truck up to spec. If anyone has any doubts feel free to contact Kurt. . he'll tell you that I bought the turbo from him. It works great and I do like it, but just one of those things I have to sell right now for more suitable things... like a house :{

Thanks,

John

Hey John Welcome Aboard! I was just bustin' yer stones heck I was oblivious to the fact that was post 1. Yeah i hear ya about the house thang and all.

Hmm B1~Twins~B1~Twins ..... AHA how about I Finish Current project :rolleyes: Anyways I saw someone looking for the big B not too long ago D@med if I can remember who?

Its real tempting for me... . I just can't make a decision between the B1 and a PDR HX40... ..... Lag with huge top end or less lag and less top end... . hmmmmmmmm

Bob - I am about as far as I am going to go, I just want to make what power I do have usable. Right now with the Drag Comp on kill I can get into the aluminimum melting temps real fast. I am trying to plan a trip to see Mr. Piers this coming spring for some porting/polishing and cam work but who knows if that trip is going to work out for me... ... I am leaning toward a 40 and if I don't like it I should not have any problems selling it, however Banshees B1is not that much more and has to be considered.

Tim,

Thanks! I've actually been reading the boards for a long time, but didn't post because I didn't have a truck. I guess now that I have the truck setup I feel more comfortable here on the bomber's anonymous boards :D It's one of those things... I'm a newbie, only, not ;)

John (JR2),

Are you planning to come to Scheid's rally? If you're interested I'd be happy to make the offer even more enticing seeing as how meeting you there would save shipping on this heavy monster. Also, I know I told you the B1 was a laggier than the 40, but it is by no means a lag pig, especially at your (and my) fueling level. The PDR 40 is darn hard to beat for spoolup, but the B1 isn't that far behind, and from my experiences on both a heavily fueled 12 and 24 valve truck, it (B1) has a much better midrange and top end punch. The 12 valve truck gained over 5mph top end by going from the 40 to the B1... that's a pretty big jump. I would guess the same could be said for the 24 valve trucks, but I still haven't clipped my VSS wire, so the party ends at 112 mph for both turbos :mad:

I'm going to try my best to get some pictures of the turbo and downpipe as I've had some requests to. I can assure you the turbo and pipe are like new. Anyone who knows my dad and I know we keep our trucks up top notch (he won the 4X4 show and shine and the Black Mountain Diesel grand opening), so please don't be concerned about getting a rust bucket :)

powerwagon,

Oh man, that just means I'll have more stuff to move :eek: Oo. . I would be interested in taking an EZ as part of a trade deal, though... I've been wanting to try to piggyback one of those :)

Posting for sale items in the forums is against the forums guidelines. Many users do not wish to see for sale items here. The classifieds section was created specifically for this purpose. They get a lot of traffic (way more than I would have ever thought) and that is the best place to sell stuff. In the future please refrain from posting for sale items in the forums. Thanks in advance.
