I installed this kit and the connecting cable has some slack in it. I checked twice on the installation and it is correct. Is there an adjustment I've missed?

Under slow acceleration I feel slipping / grabbing, but when you stand on it, it grabbs good. Although I think it could be better.

Probably be best to contact B & D. I don't believe many members have pressure locks as it is commonly believed they will destroy your torque converter,

Hollywood,

My service tech for BD says you need to use an internal pressure guage to set the pressurelock correctly. I go in to have it adjusted yearly.

I've had the brake, torquelock and pressure lock since 55,000 miles. I had them open up the transmission at 100,000 to adjust and see what condition it was in. They said the torque convertor was in good shape. I do not push the engine or the transmission. The truck is otherwise completely stock. Although I can use the system in OD I rarely do because if you forget and come to a full stop, the transmission has trouble shifting to first and shudders in the process.

I shift out of OD at 60mph, turn the system on, accellerate slightly then release the pedal and braking occurs down to 25mph where the system drops out automatically.

At my techs suggestion I had heavy duty valve springs installed which increased the braking pressure about 10 lbs.

The system was installed by Diesel Injection Service in Louisville, KY

Hollywood,

Give BD a call and they will help you out 1-800-887-5030. Sorry I cann't help you with the adjustment.

Ramboy,

If installed correctly and used correctly It will add years of life to the transmission, as that is what it is marketed for. Beleafs and opinions are just that, beleafs and opinions. Remember, people use to beleave the world was flat and you would fall off the face of the earth if you ventured out in the ocean to far.
