HELP! My truck is out of service in Lancaster, CA and I'm looking for a supplier of marine grade hose so I can make repairs to the fuel supply/return lines.

I limped to my daughter's home in California's Antelope Valley from Yosemite yesterday eve with my 96 Dodge Cummins spewing diesel fuel from a leaking rubber fuel return line.

If you know of a vendor in, or reasonably near, the Antelope Valley, please give me a response. (The Antelope Valley is located in northern Los Angeles County, generally along the CA-14 freeway between Santa Clarita and Mojave. Two larger cities are Palmdale and Lancaster. )

I'm from Michigan, so am not familiar with suppliers in this area. Local auto parts houses don't seem to carry marine grade hosing.

Your help in locating a source for marine grade hose in i. d. sizes 5/16" and 3/8" will be much appreciated!

Thanks a lot.

Try the "Hoseman". They are all over So Cal and have marine grade hose. I'm not sure if they are in Lasncaster or Palmdale. You might have to go down the hill for them but they have what you need.

HTH.

John Robinson,

YES! The pieces of hose you have from Larry B would be perfect! My phone here in Lancaster is 661-940-4599.

"Thank you" to Gaylord for the lead on a vendor and to JohnRobinson for the offer to share the hoses he has on hand. Great TDR guys!

Early this morning I called a boat repair station in Lancaster; they had both sizes of marine grade hose in stock, so I rode my bicycle there and purchased the hoses for a bit less than $10, total. A few hours of work had the installation completed and the leaking diesel a memory.

For anyone's future supply info source, the vendor is Valley Marine, 10th Street West at Avenue K in Lancaster; phone 661-723-8025.

Again, thanks to TDR members Gaylord and JohnRobinson.
