I'm getting one tomorrow along with my transmission fluid change. I made a call so I didn't get to look at this thing, although i've seen them online.

Where on the pan does this thing need to be? It might say in the instructions but I don't have them yet. Where is the best place with consideration given to a transmission temp sensor being installed later on?

Thanks for pointers guys.

I installed mine on the bottom of the pan about the middle. Some have installed in the side of the pan. Best location for temp sensor is to purchase the trans. line from your local parts dept. that has the fitting on the line for the sensor. It is the line out of thre trans. to the cooler and will register higher than a pan sensor. The pan fluid is already cooled compared to the line that will tell you how hard the trans. is working. There are some posts here that use a "T" fitting and 2 compression fittings cut into the out going line if you would prefer not to spend the $80. 00 (I think) for the DC line.
