My question is on the slider hitch there are 3 setting for the uprights 17" 18" 19"

I have this mounted in a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4, 6-1/2 bed.
I will be towing a 2018 Keystone Cougar 30 RLS 5th wheel 34 feet in length.
How much clearance do I need between the bed rails and the bottom of the
5th wheel trailers front section?

I have the B&W Companion slider in a 14 4x4 shorty and use the lowest mounting holes. I have plenty of clearance.

Boy good luck getting 6” between the trailer and the bed on a modern 4wd 3500 Ram. The trucks are so tall to begin with that unless you flip the axles on your trailer its nearly impossible in my experience. My toy hauler (built for the desert “off road”) barely gets 5” of clearance with the trailer relatively level. I could get more, but only with the trailer tilted back.
