I was wandering if anybody is using this hitch? Sure seems to be a great choice since you can haul gooseneck or 5th wheel? I want to install it on my 06 dually to haul my on order Montana 3400RL, any info would be great! thanks for the help

Yes, it works very well, easy to install initially the goose neck to frame and companion hitch each time you need to use it, very well built , would highly recommend it .

I have one too. Like it a lot but it does take more work to R&R the 5th wheel that my Reese did, and it doesn't have as much side to side tilt either

I have had mine for two years now and like it a lot. Hitching is very easy on mine (and never had a "mis-hitch"). I have it in and out a lot as I use this truck to carry construction materials, too.

I'd buy another in a heart beat.

How hard is it to get the frame mount piece on under the bed, with out raising the bed. Or am I missing something ?

Piece of cake. Follow the instructions and it goes on very easy.

I installed one on my Dodge and one on a GMC 2500.

Easier on a Dodge than a GMC. Had to cut away a heat shield on the GMC.

For the 2004 2500, had to cut out a small notch (in the instructions) and then measure twice for the 4" hole. Once that was done, I used a 4x4 timber across the bed rails and a ratchet strap to hold the heavy peice in place while I bolted everything up. Did it all by myself too.

I did mine before I had it Rhino-lined and the under bed hitch is sealed with the bed. Made it look real neat. That was 3 years ago and it still looks good.

Put one in on my 2005 Dually and it wasn't that difficult. Just follow all the instructions and measure the 4" hole six times :) before cutting the hole. I found that mine was spot on, front to back, but was about 1/8" off side to side. This wasn't a problem. The only problems I had was getting to all the nuts, underneath, to torque them down. A couple of them were very hard to get to without good tools.

I've used it for almost two years, and the only problem I've ever had was getting it to release on unlevel ground (on two occasions), after the trailer was put up on wheel levelers on one side (3-5" out of level). I emailed B&W and they had me send them all the measurements of my kingpin but couldn't give me any foolproof solution to the problem. When this does happen, I just get into the bed and release the hitch head from the base, then raise the trailer a little and it unbinds and pops off. The kingpin claw, on the hitch, is very thick and doesn't leave a lot of slop on the kingpin. I asked the forum if anyone else had this type of problem, but didn't get any good responses. Still the best hitch I've had, except for this problem.

This is my second season with the B&W. I've had several other hitches in previous years. This is by far the best one I've had. Easy to install, I did mine all by myself and I'm no longer a young guy either. Hardest part was cutting the 4" hole in the bed. Cutting the hole itself was easy, getting over the fear that it might not be in exactly the right place was the problem. Worked out perfect, the measurements given in the instructions place it exactly where it's supposed to be.

I would go with B&W again if I was getting another truck.

Thanks to All! Sounds as if this may be hitch for me! I appreciate all the responses and positive feedback, nothing negative yet.

the hitch is great, i had considered a reese but a buddy convinced me to go with the B&W. best advice i ever got. it is so easy to switch from the 5th to the goose that even my wife can swap them to pull her horses. i would highly recommend this hitch to anyone especially if you need the diversity of a 5th and a goose

Two years and still going, over 20,000 miles pulling a Toy Hauler up and down one of the worse freeways in California, including towing our Rig through Off Roads into the deserts. B&W never missed a beat! Highly Recommended... I would buy one again. We installed this unit on my Dodge in less than 1 1/2 hours. Longest part of the install, was cutting the 4" hole in the bed of my truck. Measure 20 times, cut once. :)

I have used mine for two years now hauling commercially and it's been great, no problems at all. 12k is about the heaviest I have had on it and it handles it great.

We pull a 16K GVWR 5th wheel with it - it's been in the truck and pulling 5th wheels since September 2001 and is holding up just fine (other than some flaking powder coat. )

A 5th wheel or gooseneck when you need it - a clean bed when you don't. I'm happy with my choice.

I've got nothing but good to say about mine. I've used both the goose and the 5th wheel and it is great to have that flexibility. Would I do it again??? Wouldn't even give it a second thought, absolutely!!!!

I had a Companion adapter that was flaking off quite badly. I sent pictures to B&W and they sent me a brand new one. They even paid freight both ways. This was 3 years ago.
