Has anyone out there researched any significant differences with the two fuel types and what did you find? I have never had a choice before was only able to get Canola

All the oil's have variables , one plant will produce more or less oil , gliserin , also will have varying of gases when burnt / exhaust ,
I was reading the other day something about soy producing more of one of the exhausts that are termed to be bad or to be measured when , or if diesel emission testing comes around .
Something els to consider , if growing is some crops will , or will not have more issues , harder on the land , may cost more because of more or less chemicals needed to grow .
What is your issue ?
Are you getting from a fuel station / processor / farmer group ?
It seems that by the time any access near our metro area , the is little or no knowledge of the fuel except price .

Canola / rape seed is generally better from what I have heard.

Lower gel temp

higher cetane

lower NOx

Europe bio is Rape seed (canola)

Where have you been getting the Canola bio? I think most in the US is soy.

I started running B99 Walnut oil they sell in Marina Del Rey, CA in my 2000 CTD and I love it!! I took some with me so I could mix it on my trip to Durango. I found out they sell B20 in Durango, but not sure what it was.

up here in Canada I get my Canola oil from milligan bio tech in Saskatchewan but now have a source for Soya here in my area. I currently have a sponsorship deal with milligan for my race truck and they are awsome . The reason I asked is that now that their is a option I will look at.

thank you for the link:) :)

Never tried Canola, did try cotton seed oil once but, stopped using it. It was thicker and heavier than soybean oil, was afraid it would fry the L. P or VP44 trying to pump it. My truck does enjoy B100 soybased though.
