i have the chance of getting a b2 turbo for a great price. with the current mods (in my sig) how will it run? im thinking it might be alittle laggy off the line but really boost well in the higher rpms. inputs??? TIA

I don't know what your intended purpose is with that turbo but with DD2's you will probably be super laggy. Even once you get higher rpm I would think you will still need more fuel than the 2's to happily drive a B2.

I ASSume you intend to use this in a twins setup? If you're proposing to use a B2 as a single, then you might not get ANY boost from it!

Twinning your stock turbo with a B2 has been done a bunch, and the lag is reasonable. You're still turning the stock charger, so spoolup is not bad at all. It WILL be laggier than the stock charger alone, as the stock turbo has to suck through the B2 to get air.

mines pretty laggy off the get, wish i woulda kept my stock turbo and made a poorboy twin setup. after 1400-1500rpm its a pretty good kick in the pants as it spools up. im too cheap to replace the 35psi boost gauge, but near as i can guess im hitting close to 50psi with the box on 5x5. towing can be a p. i. t. a. allways watching the pyro ready to downshift... .

B2 is a killer single turbo in the right applications... .

I think you are talking about a different turbo.

A B1-2 (as seen in your sig) is a great single.

A B2 would be a terrible single.

Both of the above chargers are from Turbo Auto Diesel

Neither of these should be confused with an HTB2 or Killer B2 from High Tech Turbo both of which are also good single chargers.
