$4.20 a gallon for soy-based B-100 in eastern Oregon

Where to buy new cooking oil?

Starting somewheres around Oct 1, 2005, all diesel sold in MN must contain at least 2% Biodiesel (B2). If you think that's a good idea, let your gov't reps know about it. MN has a lot of stupid laws, but we have at least one good one.

But did you notice how much diesel jumped when that happened?!? B20 used to be cheaper than gas, even when #2 was about the same price. Now that we have B2, it is 20-40 cents higher than gas.

Bought some B100 yesterday, $2. 20 + taxes to bring it up to $2. 64. B-anything SHOULD be cheaper than #2 because B100 is cheaper. If you're paying more for it, go elsewhere. For the last 2-3 months soydiesel has been cheaper than #2. B2 has nothing to do with the price going up.

Cattletrkr, where are you finding the B-100 at? I'll be up in the cities for a dyno meet on the 22nd of October and would love to fill up both tanks while I'm up that way and try it out. Is it in Howard Lake? I am familiar with the town and in fact I own the Dodge Diers Ag and Trailer Sales sold to me back in January.

That would be my dad's '02... cool. How's it treatin' ya??

The B100 is in Cokato at JD Oil. He doesn't have it at a pump, he's a fuel delivery guy, not gas station. He might be a little reluctant to sell ya B100 to dump right in the tanks. He also might have a hard time metering it. Send me a PM and I can give you his phone #. That late in Oct. you might not make it home on B100 unless this summerlike weather holds out.

Hey I just noticed the post again. The truck is great! I use it to haul cars to and from auctions and never gets unhooked from the trailer. However my wife wants me to consider bombing it and letting her drive it daily since it gets better mileage towing than her Tahoe gets running erands. If I wasn't so deep into my 2000 I would switch it out with the 02 and make it my daily driver since it drives so smooth. I NEED to buy one more truck so I can leave trailers hooked up at all times and still have a truck to run around with. I have the car dealership that the 02 is licensed to and the 00 that I haul farm equipment with. Now I need to get one to play with but I'm just real picky on what I buy. I just can't make up my mind what color i want this time or what year.

I think I'm gonna take your advise about not buying any B-100 since it's getting colder out but may look into it in the spring again. I'll get ahold of you when I come up for a sale in Litchfield then.

Tell your dad thanks again for the great deal on the 02!

Gee, I wonder which one that would be.

The only reason dad sold that '02 was 'cause he needed a DRW in the first place. New lift pump and a new inj. pump from Dodge, and then it's gone a month later. That was a sweet truck. I love the sound of that exhaust. Sounds like a big rig outside, and darned near stock inside. I know he misses it, as do I.
