Went to fill up last week, paid for fuel, then noticed the pump said "b20". Owner manual says b5 is ok, but b20 requires some kind of update. Anyone know what that is? Internet isn't much help, too many opinions. Anyone have experience with b20? Seems most stations have only b20.

Nothing wrong with B20, it's just not as efficient as 100% dino diesel. B20 has better lubricity and cleaning but you need to change filters more often. I have avoided B20 by changing to 100% renewable diesel now sold at 76 stations. Renewable diesel is better than any other diesel or diesel blend.

The update changes the oil change interval to an earlier algorithm. If you run it 100% of the time is is probably wise to do it, otherwise just do your oil and filter changes sooner.
I believe the update is for B20. I don't think there are any updates for the Renewable
