Baby Turbo

I helped my friend install a turbo on his Honda Civic... ... talk about extremes. One of these pics shows the size. Needless to say I was shocked. I am used to looking at turbos from big Detroits or CTD's. I am not a small car person, but it is fun to drive.

Remember it's not the size of the turbo... it's how fast you spin it

lol... looks like you need a magnifying glass just to see the compressor wheel... I can hear it now:



Him: "yeah, it puts out about 10 psi boost"

Me: "really? 10 psi huh? Wow... . I guess 50 psi just isn't impressive than... . "



Have you ever showed a real turbo to a rice-driver? Talk about someone having envy... . "holy crap!" is usually what comes from their mouth when you pop the hood... .

Yeah, the first time he saw my boost gauge go to 20psi he freaked out and thought my engine was going to blow up . He can't go above 10psi w/o some engine mods. If the turbo was any bigger he'd have to lose the A/C:-laf

My friend is always on forums like this one for the rice-rockets. Not to say we don't have our share of idoits but WOW, there are a lot of freakin' morons on these things. Anything from people asking about mods that are completly off the wall to videos of stupid kids blowing their engines because they think it's cool to race them. Actual quote from a kid that blew his engine "my parents are going to be so pi**ed!". Not to worry, Daddy will just get you a new one... ... .
