back button???

is there any way you could put a button at the bottom of the posts to return you to the topic forum after you come back from a new post?



it seems there used to be a window that you could use to goto a topic down there. maybe im dreaming agian LOL



seriously rather than arrowing or mousing back the top of a page to get back to the last forum you where on, before a new posting. it woud be nice to have a button on visible at the bottom where it takes you. maybe change the last tread/next thread buttons to something like "last forum" and "main forum"

If you look right below the large red TDRountable in the header there's a line that says: TDR Roundtable[/u} > (the category title), (the title of forum your in) > (the title of the thread you're in . If you click on the forum title it will take you back to the thread list in that forum, if you click on the TDR Roundtable it will take you to the forum list. Is that what you were looking for?

Steve, your system works but the old jump to system at the bottom worked better. Presently you have to always go back to the roundtable link in order to use your back button without a Warning: Page has Expired page coming up after posting. The jump at bottom was included for a while after the server changed last summer but disappeared. When questioned about it back then Ken said it would return but that's the last I heard...

thanks Steve, i knew i could do that. and that is what i have been doing.



my question is after your page refreshes from posting. it takes you to your post (the last one) from there to go back to the forum we have to scroll up to the header at the top of the page.



rather than doing that can you put a button or drop down window like we use to have, at the bottom of each page? or the TDR Roundtable > Website > TDR Website/Roundtable > back button???... . down there too?



just a thought. you guys do a great job on here BTW.

Just hit the back button on your browser 4 times quickly, you will be back in the forum you posted into without it refreshing so you can keep track of what you have read easily. If you hit back on your browser 3 times quickly you will be back on the thread you just posted to. This is what I do.

that "forum jump" box at the bottom, can we get that here?



it is always up, on any view, and is nice to have after posting a reply. you have the option of returning to the forum you were just in or jumping to another without scrolling to the top of the page again.



PS the back button method is a PITA, IMO. this would be much easier.

Just a suggestion-here's what I do. After I get the list of unviewed threads, I right click on the thread I want to read and tell it to open the thread in a new window. When I finish reading/posting to the thread, I close that window and the window with my list of unviewed threads is still open right where I left off.
