Cool pictures & I loved the videos, makes me want to take my truck out? I've got the power done, or where I'm happy. Now I just need to build the suspension and get some tires.

It truely was a blast. Horsepower and tires worked for me. That and a few pep talks by the 'Master' Bob4x4 got me up the hill just fine.

Tire Questions???

Can you get around, out there, with stock 3rd Gen. tires?

Do you need a "floatation-type"(wide) tire?

Do you have to lower the tire pressures & to what pressure?

Looks like a fun trip. Used to go out to "Buttercup" & "Glamis" in the mid 80's. Always had fun.

315 bfg's

Aired down to 20 and by the time I got to olds they were at 28. I aired down again to 15 and up I went. Suspension would have made it even easier.

I have driven around out there on 245 series tires just fine @ 10 psi in the back and a hair more in the front, but you won't be climbing anything of size. We had an 06 with an awsome suspension system from Carli suspension in Orange (lostronin)35" Toyos but stock power... ... ... . we just couldn't get him up the big hill. Nice job trying though. There isn't much diff in contact patch between a 285 and a 315 but every little bit helps.
