I recently bought a 2005 CTD and couldn't be happier with this truck. The truck came with an Airaid MIT and Filter (installed by previous owner). After reading several posts here and doing some hands on investigating, I think I want to switch back to a paper filter... but I would like to keep the rest of the setup.

The problem is that the Airaid uses a 4. 5 inch inlet pipe and I can't seem to locate a # for a Bhaf that will fit on that size pipe. Has anyone else tried to do this? Should I just make an adapter and use the Napa2790 or comparable filter? Thanks for any ideas.

Shortly after I got my truck, I changed the intake to a Airraid Jr kit which included the MIT.

All I did was drop in the filter and change the tube between the intake box and the turbo.

They are the same size diameter I believe.

Iv thought about getting a paper filter to put in when I clean and reoil the dropin.

The pipe IS the same diameter. I guess I didn't look closely enough.

It looks like with the Airaid Jr. , you retain your stock air box. I wasn't all that clear in my last message, but the Airaid I have includes the CAI and appears to eliminate the upper portion of the stock air box. I have never actually seen a stock setup on one of these trucks, so I am not sure what's missing. I think further investigation on my part is necessary. Thanks for the input.

I have the exact same set-up that you have and the only thing your missing is the top of the air box and the two screws for the air flow sensor. See my gallery!
