Ok, I got some 6" stacks I want to put on my truck. Now I need to find out how to get exhaust to them. I need to bring the stock exhaust built up to 6" somehow, and I need to find out where to bring the second pipe across. I think bringing the exhaust across by the crosspiece would be a good option. Should I split them with a "T" or a "Y"? I would think a "Y" would be a better transition. After the "Y" I would do a smooth 90* bend out to either side. I think I would have to get the exhaust up to 6" in stages. So, anyone with stacks... please give me some tips on running the exhaust. I want everything under-body and to come up through my flatbed. There is a picture of my truck in the readers rigs and in my signature if you need some reference. Also, are there any "kinks" in the exhaust between the turbo and the split that I can eliminate while I'm messing with stuff? The only kink I have heard of is back by the axle, but that pipe is gonna be gone.



If anyone needs more pictures, like up close at where I want to bring them out or underneath my flatbed, just tell me.

The hardest way would be the best looking IMHO

Slide the bed back 6" and run the stacks between the cab and the rack on the front of your flat bed. The pipe work would be so

easy that way. I would run 4" pipe all the way out then go with a 4" to 6" adapter to run the stacks up the back.

You want the T, not the Y.



I have heard of someone using rectangular steel tubing to run to either side and feed the stacks.



If you don't do it that way, a 4" T is way big enough. Then run 4" to either side and put the reducers on the bottoms of the stacks. The factory downpipe and transfer case pipe flow pretty well, but if you're gonna do the whole system then run some 4". It'll be tight in there, but it can be done.

Thanks, I thought both the "T" and "Y" split both ways. I was wrong... thanks!

Sliding the bed back would be cool... but that is way out of my league for now.

how are you going to slide the bed back and make that look good??there will be a gap
