So i too have the backup camera problems alot of people on here have had.. Im hoping to get some ideas on how to fix it, as I am lost after trying a few quick fixes and have been unsuccessful.

A bit of history,, bought the truck used a few months ago. Camera picture on the rear view mirror was wavy lines and distorted and discolored alot,, after slamming the tailgate a half dozen times, it finally quit all together.. All i get now when shifting in reverse is a yellow camera symbol with a slash through it to display..

I've opened up the tailgate and checked for loose wires. All looked solid.

I've replaced the camera itself with an OEM version, unsuccsessful

I've replaced the camera's wire harness with an OEM version, unsuccessful.

thoughts anyone? Anyone know what fuse it is? the schematic in the box doesn't show which one it is.

Help please.

Try holding the volume knob and the tuning knob down at the same time to see if it reboots. Even though it's a 3.0 screen, it's still a video device. Doesn't cost anything to try.

Cheers, Ron
