Need new tires

6 volt charging from truck?

Just besure its made as a backup camera and not a security camera. My dad put something into his last motorhome. He is driving down the road and sees a car passing him on the sholder on the monitor! Problem is the video was reversed and the car was really on his DS ;). there was no way to reverse what your seeing.

I've got the same setup. Paid $150 at Kragen Auto Parts here in Cali. Works pretty good, especially when backing up to a trailer. I mounted the monitor between my rearview mirror and the overhead consoul.

My backup camera is mounted on the trailer and my only complaint is that the video signal is weak. The problem is that the kit came with 100' of unshielded cable, which I used.

To correct the problem I am going to install regular shielded video cable, similar to what you would use for your VCR, just very long. I have tested it with a short run of shielded cable and the color and clarity is excellent.

Also, be careful running your power supply to the camera. Do not run it in the same strand as the turn signals or brake lights. I get a little interferrence from my turn signals.

Having a camera on the trailer is a huge benefit in traffic. I sure makes merging and passing much easier and safer. It helps too in backing the trailer obviously.

For the money it looks like a great product. But it is only a trailer hitch back-up camera.

You won't be able to observe traffic or back up very well with such a small screen and wide angle lens. Unless maybe you velcro it to the brim of your hat :-laf .

I have a Voyager rear observation camera that came with our Lance camper, it has sound too so you can hear tire blow outs and dangling parts hitting the pavement. It has a 7 inch wide screen and it is still hard to see some things clearly.

Good luck ..... Jim
