Air Bag Install Question??

Yes its wireless - almost - - -The reciever has to be hooked up to the ignition side and the camera gets hooked up to the back up lights - - no connection between the camera and the reciever. I've also added a camera to the front with a switch so I can see pulling into a parking space. This '06 hood is so high, its hard to judge distances.

Name of the thing is V3 or something like that. Also saw it a Advanced Auto Parts and Pep Boys

I have one I bought at Costco and had it installed on my 5er license plate, but it was too far away from the truck cab to get reception (5er is 36' long).

I was making a custom bracket this weekend to hang the camera from my rear bumper on the RH side down low. I want to be able to see my 5er tires on the RH side and also be able to see any cars back there.

I am going to plug into my 4-way trailer receptacle so it will only work with the parking lights on.

Got the brackets all made up and drilled, now I will paint them flat black and then install on the two bolts that hold the bumper to the frame bracket.

This is bad. You guys are making me think... LOL If I wanted to see different areas around the truck and trailer I could hook up several cameras on switches and as long as they all transmit on the same Frequency just use one reciever for front, back, tires, side, etc. Wow that will even keep the wife busy. Ha-Ha-Ha. :-laf

Seems many are like that - but what about down-the-road operation, when it's desireable to monitor traffic and objects (whats being towed, tires, load, etc. ) around while moving forward?

I wired my camera power to the running lights instead of backup lights allowing rear vision while moving forward by having the runniing lights on.

I also purchased a V3 at 1st from Wallyworld but found it would not transmit far enough for me to use on my QC DRW truck, possibly due to my bed cap adding additional interference. Check out the link in my previous post (4ucam) as there are quite a few options with most displays able to handle up to 4 cameras. There are also remote antenna's allowing camera's to be placed farther from the receiver display, as on the rear of a trailer.
