Does anyone have experience installing one of these on their Dodge? If you don't know what I'm talking about - it's the sensor that beeps as you get closer to an object behind you. It is only activated when the vehicle is in reverse.

My cousins F-250 has this as a factory option - I really wish that Dodge did the same. This can be a really handy device.

I've seen a few advertised and I'd like to install one.

No experience installing it but if you don't mind a hack job you could always splice it into your backup light wires. They only come on when you put it into reverse.

YES!

I grabbed one in Costco a couple years ago and had it installed in my Durango. It worked great. Mounted on the upper bolts of the license plate, and small speaker was mounted inside the rear hatch. (I would have done it myself, but a high end stereo installer owed me a favor. )

Eventually sold the Durango and bought the '03. One of the first things I wanted was a back up alarm, but no longer at Costco and I never bothered to really look hard for one until the other day. I originally paid about $60 at Costco, then found one at JC Whitney for $79. Kept looking and found the same one at overstock.com.

It's the AutoPark 2000, and only $23. I just bought two more. They're adjustable, easily installed, and work well... Take a peek.

Hope this helps.

Did you get the one GENOS sells? I realy have no experience installing one. Just a TDR member showed me his that he had purchased from GENO'S. I looked at it, and it seemed stright forward. I would put some type of sealent (rtv clear) around the edges of the bumper, to help with rust control. Good luck, let us know how it went.
