2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission back up switch what size socket?

anyone know what size socket i need to remove my reverse / backup switch on the trans ? truck is an 2001 thanks

On a 96 5-spd it is a 22 mm deep socket but on the auto being a back-up/neutral combo switch I would think it would have two smaller bolts.

Pretty sure its a 1 1/2" deep socket. It may be metric but I used a 6 pt and it worked.

got it in, had to use a pair of slip joint pliers.

I was wrong - -it takes a 1" deep socket to remove the switch on the '01 auto.
