I realize this is a diesel site..... But I have a gasser 75 Powerwagon that I am doing a brake job on & have run into a snag, I got the drum off the drivers side..... OOOOOOOO that sweet smell of old 90wt OIL, NOT! Well things don't look as bad as I thought BUt I got a brake parts kit to throw at while its apart. Now for the problem... That pin at the top that holds the top of the drums, parking brake lever ect. I went to take it off to replace the adjuster cable... & it stripped out. I was able to get it off but there appeares to be splines holding every thing togeather. Is there a replacement pin I can get???? There was a strange looking washer about 8ga steel thickness that had a couple of little ears on it that appeares to have split That could be welded ... but the pin has me stumped.

1) Are the backing plates similar to the newer diesel stuff???? 89-93

Any pics???

2)Can I get a new replacement pin or backing plate??

3) Will the later Dodge stuff or similar ford backing plates work???

4 EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLES????? Where can I get them???

Thanks

The bolt you need is part# 4419 698

washer # 3492 670 and spring # 3492 656... You can get them at your local Dodge dealer. If there is not a Dodge dealer around you

You can get the same parts from your local Ford dealer. Most 1970's threw early 1990's F350 Fords used the exact same brakes as the Dodges did during the time period. .

Well thanks to every one the job is finished..... The wider3" brakes worked in place of the 2. 5", The larger bore wheel cylinders fit & I installed new brake cables.

True torque # C93194 & C93190..... They fit perfectly on my 8' bed club cab.

Also ordered the 3/16" stainless brake line & fittings from inline tube. Quick delivery & nice stuff. I had a local hydraulic shop flare them.

Thanks
