I have a 2020 3500 and was wondering if there is an adjustment to the backup sensor. With just my trailer ball on I get a warning everytime I shift into reverse. So I keep it disarmed. My 2015 never did this.

Ask the dealer about that on a brand new truck?
For sure that isn't supposed to be that way.

My friends Laramie doesn't do that.

My 2019 2500 does this as well. Let us know what you find out.

Same here on my 2020. The 2019 & 20s have the sensors closer to the hitch than previous models. This happened when they went from sensors in the bumper to sensors in the plastic skirt under the bumper. Only fix IMO is to relocate the sensors.

Yeah John, kinda what i was thinking, i just take the hitch off when not in use, saves me from bashing my legs into it as well. :)

The backup sensor goes off on my 2017 Ram 5500, but not my wife's 2019 Ram 1500. I have a solid steel hitch step I usually keep n my 5500, but been using my dump trailer quite a bit.

Cheers, Ron
