how 'bout tires... just thinking out loud. i have the same trouble on my 99, but was able to fix it with cleaning and lubing the calipers. but there is a difference from my stock tires to the 33x12. 50's

Make sure the caliper pins and slides are smooth and lubed.

Also adjust the rear brakes. The so-called automatic adjusters work poorly.

Mine does this too. It pulls to the right. It's much more pronounced when there is a load or a trailer on. I think it might have something to do with the load sensing device on the rear brakes. I've rotated tires and adjusted the rear brakes manually. The rear shoes are wearing evenly at least to the naked eye. My next step was to bleed the brakes. What lube is used on the calipers??

Hey there Pat, what make are the brake pads? Raybestos had a problem with a bunch of pads. They painted the sides of the friction material wich caused brake fade as they would heat up to fast. The pads are red in color. They now just paint the metal black.

You may need to install pressure gauges in the lines to find your problem if it is not the pads.

See ya at Dyno Days!

If you can get an IR thermometer measure the temps of the rotors when it pulls. A binding caliper will raise the temp of that rotor. Then that side will fade causing the truck to pull the oposite direction. Rotors should be within 20-30 degrees of each other. When one binds it can bee 100 degrees or more hotter than the other side.

Brake pull that doesnt happen when cold, then starts when warm is almost always a sticking caliper. I know you said you changed them but thats all I can think of. Bill

also look for hot spots on rotors and drums. . if you didn't already

did you do a 100% brake fluid change. . [old crapy fluid water in lines?]

hanging cylinder in rear ? [or new with brake job?]

used up my thoughts. . sorry iff'in no help

I had the same problem end up replacing the second set of calipers and that did the trick. The caliper bore get alittle warped when they get hot one piston will slid in the bore fine but the one that is warped will not and that makes it pull to one side. My first set of remans only lasted two months. I also have heard of people having the rear brakes out of ajustment on one side cause brake pull.
