I have the 1998. 5 24 valve engine in a Dodge dually and currently have 52,000 mi on the motor and have gone through 2 crank shaft sensors already. The 1st one went in 2001 with around 28,000 miles on it, the 2nd one went 2 monthes ago. Has anyone had similiar problems?
Is there any physical damage to the end of the sensor? If there is, you're tone wheel has come loose and is rubbing it. That requires dropping the pan and tightening the screws. Had to do that to the inlaw's truck.
