Bob, sometimes my truck will not crank. It started this about a week after a tech blew a 30 amp fuse while trying to wire the fuel shut off solenoid directly off the battery. When I got home I looked at that fuse. It's holder was almost a blob. I installed a new switch thinking that could be the problem. A few local trips later it would lose the gauges and crank. It was intermittent but became steady no gauges and no crank. Rewired three circuits, two 30 and one 20 amp. Replaced the fuse links. The relays look and seem to be ok. The body and engine grounds are good. That seemed to do the trick, for a week. On a long trip it did it again after a stop 400 miles from home. I checked fuses and and looked over the wiring. Tried it again and it worked fine. So I went back home. It seems to be fine again. But I really don't have enough confidence to head for Sanford Fl again.
