Had to take one of my 06s in because of a lite rattle sound coming from Transmission. It has had this noise ever since I bought the truck brand new. Ended up being some bad bearings and a bad countershaft.

There were 6 other trucks in the shop for the same reason. Truck only has a little over 25,000 miles on it. They got the parts in yesterday and it should be done by Thursday. I hope it holds up. I haven't had any problems with the six speed in my Megacab.

I wonder if this was one of the ones that didn't get the transmission filled up correctly or whatever the TSB was for... it was for some of the G56s...

They didn't say anything about it bieng low on fluid.

They are filled correctly from factory, but I seem to remember that they overfilled them after the fact because some of the bearings didn't get assembly lube at the factory and they didn't ride in the oil... those bearings would die prematurely if the overfill wasn't performed... it was only overfilled that one time, after that it was filled to the normal point... might want to check and see if your's was one that should have had a recall (worthless point now, but it would be neat to know).
