This case left me just LMAO :-laf, talk about stupid crimes.

Observe in the opening comments that the wife of the gentleman in question was awarded a large sum of money for "loss of consortium". It would appear that the gentleman himself lost a much more valued piece of OEM equipment when he completed the circuit while sitting straddled across the electrical line. ZZZzzzzaaappp!

Flabbergasting. Thankfully the judge reversed the award and justice was served (fried?)

alot of people do not realize that cutting a primary neutral wire can also make the neutral as dangerous as the primary conductor wire. When we get calls for a primary neutral wire down, we have to wear rubber gloves till we get it bonded back together. In this case, it seems as if the defendant's story was a little absurd. If he was touching one hot wire with his leg, and the other with his arm, he would have cross-phased, and would have had limbs completely blown off, as well as bone and muscle damage. I work at the power company in San Antonio, and work weekends for US Smokeless Tobacco, but I know several people who have had injuries due to flashes, and burns. One Journeyman lineman got burned last Sunday, when him and another lineman were attempting to connect a jumper wire to 2 dead ends of wire, which was keywrighted out- However they found it to be equipment failure, due to a bad porcelain insulator. The lineman has 2nd degree burns to his face and neck, and will be out for at least 4 more months. I am not sure, but I believe he was working on a 34,500 volt circuit when it happened. We have 13,200 & 34,500 volt circuits here. You have respect the electricity, and understand what it is capable of.

Incarnate Word College in San Antonio was adding new buildings and renovating others. Somehow every roll of copper wire, tubing, all fittings, anything copper were stolen from one of the buildings where it was being stored. $80,000. 00 worth!!!!!

In STL the plumbers are painting copper pipes with spraypaint, apparently the thieves like shiny things:rolleyes: They even come in and tear the drywall out just to steal the wire and pipes. You would think that if they put that much effort into getting and holding a job, the ghetto wouldn't be the ghetto anymore... . I blame it on the rap music. ;)
