Last weekend I installed a set of injectors and afterwards it had a miss under light throttle and didn't quite seem to have quite the power it ought to. I searched the forums last Sunday and the only thing I could come up with was a small amount of air in the line or the computer taking a while to "learn" how to run with the bigger injectors since they're squirting a little more diesel than it's used to. Well as luck has it I had to go out of town for work all week..... pulling a backhoe with the truck. So not only did I not have a chance to crack the lines at the injector to purge any possible air, it was driving me nuts that it was running funny. The miss is more something I can hear, like the timing changing constantly, not something you can really feel. So when I got home today I finally got a chance to crack the lines at the injector and all but the #2 line had a good amount of flow and pressure and also made the engine run considerably more rough. When I did the #2 line it didn't have as much of an effect on how the engine idled and there was quite a bit less pressure and flow leaking out. I cracked the line at the injector pump and there was good pressure there. Before I go pull the line off later tonight, I'm just trying to get an idea of if I could have messed the line up in the installation process. And would not enough fuel getting to the injector make the truck run like I'm describing? Sorry this is so long, but I'm trying to give all the info I can think of. TIA.

Pulled the line and connector tube out and they look fine. Blew compressed air through them and they seemed to be clear. Once back on the truck I bled the line and it acted normal again with more pressure and flow than before. But the truck is still running cruddy. So I guess at least 2 if not 3 injector swaps are in the plans for tomorrow. Gonna put the stockers back in to make sure the VP44 isn't going south, and then put the Machs back in if the stock ones run fine. Hopefully I won't have to put the stock ones back in after that if the Machs are still acting up. And to top if off, the clutch is getting replaced next weekend. Fun fun fun! If I left it stock I wouldn't be going through this, but what's the fun in that? :)
