2005 Auto exhaust brake?

new smarty updates and low idle

My truck started missing hard again today. I have had the Quad box off for about a week. I wanted to make sure it wasn't the problem.

So with the box on or off the truck the problem occurs after a long hard pull in sixth. Today I was passing pokey's on the two lane. Luckily it didn't crap out until I made the pass.

EGTs go way up, boost way down, sounds like its on five cylinders. At idle EGTs stay up, wont drop below 450, normally they would be around 300. No power. No fuel in the oil. Best of all, it self repairs overnight, at least it has the last five times:confused:

Codes

477, never seen this one before, exhaust pressure control relay low

Are we talking wastegate solenoid voltage low?

234, Overboost, though the gauge never exceeded 30 psi and was probably at 27-28 when the codes set

2149, injector harness voltage for second group of injectors

204, Problem with #4 injector voltage

Seems like something gets too hot, the circuit opens and doesn't close again until whatever is failing cools down again.

I have it the driveway with a fan blowing on it. I was on my way to grab my snowmobile and trailer. Now I am stuck home while it is freaking dumping snow. I'm gonna try it after about two hours with the fan on it, maybe It'll clear up

Looking for ideas, similar experiences. It goes to the dealer Monday.

It did not self repair last night:mad: Screwed up my whole weekend, here I sit. I'll bet it runs smooth tomorrow on the way to the dealer though.

Talk to Mark at TST

That 2149 code is low voltage to the the group of injectors I believe. Should have about 90 volts all the time the truck is running. The ECM grounds the other side to the injector to open the injector. Mark knows this stuff. Ken Irwin

They replaced an injector. I would guess #4 since that is what the codes were saying.

The truck still isn't running as smoothly as I think it should be but this will get me by until I can afford nozzles and injector rebuilds.
