I hope someone can help me! My truck has a bad vibration, that shakes my whole truck. I feel it in the steering wheel, floor, seat. It usually happens in between 60 to 75 mph. I have replaced the upper&lower ball joints, center link, shocks, front&rear tires, rear wheel bearings, repacked front. Sometimes when on the highway, when i go around turns it will start to shake, out of the turn it wil stop. 93 D350 drw ex-cab all stock as far as I know! I have owned it for about 2 months.

hello there. i don't know if this will help, but, a while back I had a shake/ wobble in my truck that drove me nuts. I took it to Les Schwab and had new tires and wheels [needed them anyway] installed [285-75-r16]. well, it didn't help. had the rims checked-ok. had the tires checked-ok. Well, one of the tire guys there came up with the idea of spinning the tires up to speed while the truck was in the air. so we did. and [your not going to believe this] on the left front hub all the studs were drilled out of true from center. well we rotated the rim untill it ran truer[spelling?] and no more shake. Wierd, huh?

it's worth a look. good luck

If your truck is a dually with the large flanged lug nuts the wheels are difficult to center. What you need to do is pull two opposing lug nuts and loosen the rest, take two standard conical lug nuts and thread them on the opposing studs where you removed the two flanged lug nuts and tighten them down. This will set the wheel to true center, then torque the other six lugs down. Then remove the conical lug nuts and replace the last two flanged lug nuts. I believe there was a TSB on this a while back. If you truck is not a dually then I'm not sure what else to check, You might make sure the steering box isn't loose from the frame and isn't bad internally.

bad vibration

Have you by chance overlooked universal joints on the driveline? In the early stages of failure I haven't been able to detect a problem on visual inspection, but as time goes on- a clunk as you shift between gears from a standing position will tell you one headed south.

my stuff bad vib's

my rear drum was off center when spinning rear rims on truck bolt pattern was not centered

replaced drum helped a lot

then new rims tires too helped a lot

the rims center on the nuts fine

but b sure the lug nut studs are centered too

as they said spin the rears on 2 jack stands'

then take the rear tires and rims off and spin

the drums too

While checking my steering box today, I found that the end cap moves in and out when i turn the wheel. Has anybody else had this happen to there box? -------------------------------
