Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Bad steering

Hey everybody, I know this has been gone over before but my 98 4x4 steering has gone really funky. Does anyone know about the fix with a later model track bar? And also isn't there a bracket to stabilize the steering arm?

There are several mfg. of steering braces. Probably the most common one mentioned here is from http://www.solidsteel.ca/DSS.htm They are also making a bracket to use the track bar from a 3rd. gen truck on the 2nd gen trucks. You could also use a Lukes link (http://www.lukeslink.com/ ) to repair the trackbar or a tie-rod end.

Your 98 sound like mine, Hopefully its far from but I first replaced the upper and lower ball joints, still funky. Replaced the trac bar, this helped for a while. It progressively got worse so I tightened the screw on top of the steering box. Wow, this made a big differance in responsiveness but noticed it wandered bad again, Put lukes link on Trac bar and also on the passenger side tie-rod end, Good for now.
