I just installed a Predator Tune with Power Puck upgrade to my 04 QC long bed 6 speed. . I love the power on all of the levels. However it seems I have developed a vibration in the transaxle when I drive it easily. This is more prevalent during freeway driving on cruise control. When I have my foot in it heavily, I don't feel it at all. Could I of damaged the U joints? If I did, are there any u-joints that will handle the heavier hp and torque? Did the driveshaft become un-balanced? I live north of Detroit and can handle most basic installations but if it is very complicated, I would go to a service center that could handle this. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have one of those infared temp gauges? If you do give it a good run down the freeway and hit the u-joint with the infared and see if one is reading hot. AAM had a lot of problems with lubrication on these.

just pull the rear drive shaft its only 4 bolts depending on if its a one piece or two piece shaft and move the ujoints with it out of the truck, that is the only way you can find a bad ujoint. yeah it will be hot also, if you don't have a thermometer

I went to DTS outside of Detroit this morning. I can only say that they were of no help. After I told the guy behind the counter my problem he went off in a rant anout how he can't fix it because he doesnt carry those parts in stock. He told me to disconnect the driveshaft and bring it in. I asked him if the does service work, and he said yes. Then I asked him for an appointment and he said he could not even touch it this week. Great customer service buddy. I recommend staying away from DTS in Warren Michigan.

I spoke with someone I work with who had a similar problem. He said it might be the center bearing. I already had the driveshaft replaced under warranty once at 25k miles. The also replaced the u-joints at the same time. American Axle Manufacturing must of made a bundle on replacement shafts. Thanks for the help. I'l probably end up at the dodge dealership. Luckily, I get 25% discount on parts.
