I am back to working on the old dodge trying to get it to run like it "used" to before the pump and injectors were worked on under warranty. The truck will pull good, but if you put your foot in it it will smoke BLACK enough that you can see nothing behind you. I still think it is a mistake to let a dealer work on my truck and will probably never buy one still under warranty again so I'm not dissapointed . Today I plugged off the air to air cooler and pressure tested it for leaks to 45*. I found the intake manifold gasket was blown and replaced it with the new style (red) gasket. I pulled the turbo off and it checked out fine. Checked out wastegate. New air filter. Pulled injectors and this is the numbers 6818

Tip has number 6814 with 4 of the smallest holes I've seen in my life. It has 28,000 miles since is was screwed with under warranty. Turned over 84,000 total this week. . Are these injectors and tips right for a 180 hp auto? What tip # would be on 215 hp injectors? Or is the whole injector different on 215's. Overhead has been run. Waste gate looks like it works a lot by wear on shaft and mounting bracket. I shortened the rod on it so it wouldn't open so quick ( enough that on a quick, hard run you can hear the turbo bark). Star wheel is 3/4 forward. Any less it will not build up enough rpms to engage torque converter enough to pull out of driveway. I Stopped by the local Diesel Pump shop and he told me that he has only worked on 3 or 4 5. 9 pumps and I probably aught to throw the aneroid away, so I don't think that is any place to go for advice or calibration.
