Competition My Hudson Dyno Run

perhaps if you check out some syclone sites you could come across a guy that is running a gigantic ball bearing turbo. my brother owns a syclone and is a member of a clone site and he says there is a guy running a huge (reportedlyhx70)ballbearing turbo . i have never heard of a turbo this big but the clone website says when this guy cuts of his truck the turbo will give over a minute of wind down time. ill try and get a web address for you

try atomic rooster autosports they say they have ball bearing turbos available up to 80 mm. they are for cyclones but thet may could make you one or lead you in the right direction

i dont really know anything about cyclones but i have been told that the TD08E is used as a replacement turbo because the oem turbo is no longer available. it is also slightly larger than stock.

It's just my opinion, but I'd rather have an oiled lubed turbo with no contact between between two parts (film of oil between surfaces). Ball bearings just don't make sound like the right choice when used in something doing 100,000+ RPM's for 100,00 miles.

i seem to remember a comment coming from Piers this year in Muncie that he was tinkering with a Garrett hybrid with ball bearings. but you know him, he wont sell it until its perfect. and maybe not then if HE doesnt think its perfect.
