I am about to replace the ball joints on my '06 4x4 along with adding a 2" leveling kit and putting 35" tires on. I was wondering if i needed to go with the adjusted camber ball joints, or if the standard ones would work better?

Get the Moog lower balljoints with the grease fitting and install the Calli joints up on top yes they are very expencive but they should out last your truck...

EDankievitch,

That's what I thought too. Fought springing for the Carli's but (1) Moog greasable uppers only come in the offset adjustable type (no non-adjustable Moog greasables) that would only approximate stock geometry and (2) labor costs are as much as the joints. I have no confidence that using stock, non-greasable, replacements would last long, therefore, bite the bullet... go with the Carli's! Mine get installed next week.

If the ball joints are already loose your driving habits demand the Carli version

Ditto on the rest - I put the Carli's w/Moog lowers in about 4 months ago and so far, so good. I then sprang for a Defiant steering sabilizer about 2 months after ball joint installation. I'm very pleased with the steering - better than when the truck was new! Oo. Oo.

I have 37x13. 50 nitto mud grapplers and a dual stabilizer w/ bilsteins... . I am about to replace both upper and lower joints, and I may look into another part or two to help. Will the carlis up and moogs low, like mentioned above, be my best choice(I don't take it offroad, but I do "enjoy" my pavement time. Also- I live in Louisiana where most of the roads resemble and asphalt dump. Potholes from hell Oo. )

And what do yall recommend as the top priority after that? And removing the lift, tires, tint, balls, etc isn't an option! ;)

Is there a tell-tale-sign or "oh *****" noise that I should be listening for or more attentive too?? As I said, the roads here suck; my steering setup is sub-par to say the least; every lifted truck I've owned has a few weird noises; and 5" turbo-back straight helps drown them out... so it's tough to know what the culprit is between roads, noise etc... Any things that I need to be looking for or listening for while I wait for the parts to come in??

Do you plan on doing the instal or have a front end shop do it? If yes, they can tell you if you need them.

To answer your question, unless you have problems with the camber on the truck right now there is no reason to buy the adjustable ones imo. Not only do they cost more they also add complexity to the install because they need to be adjusted correctly.

Carli" Ball Joints

I might be mistaken, but I think they are arouind 600. 00 But the best there is! Carli's also working on production on the lower, still in enginering. :D

I'm sure Carli is asked this alot, so before I call them I figured I'd ask here. . Does anyone know the aproximate time frame for the Carli Lowers. . I'd like to do uppers and lowers at the same time if I can hold off that long... DW bites me when I forget to watch the road at 70+ MPH. I'm changing from front bilstiens shocks over to Fox Res shocks and just put a new 5100 stablizer on since the last one was shot and wouldn't maintain more the 50psi of nitrogen...
