Decent Portable Compressor?

It is fumbling around by yourself but you can use an ordinary bench vice on u-joints. find the size socket that will push and a larger one that will accept on the other side. Going back together is easier. I will only buy a cross with zerk fitting. Don't let them sell you a needle type, they suck. I grease mine every 10K and don't expect to ever need to change them. Amsoil makes grease too, which I believe is the best available. After you have replaced your u-joints with greseable type you won't need the tool.

Quad 4x4

I purchased mine from Dan at Quad4x4.com. They have several kits, including the ball joints, or just the tools and such you need. He treated me good. I bought the toolkit to replace the ball joints on my previous truck (2000 4x4 3500).

Got my OTC at a local tool dealer, talked him down to $112 before I even knew it was OTC--they have been making quality tools for years. I originally got it to do my ball joints, but just finished the u-joints on my son's pickup; much easier than the vise and two socket method I have used all my life.

Jay, did you check the P/N for me?

You do have to be careful cause the real low budget tooling usually doesn't have the durability. Sometimes you are lucky to get one use out of it.

Warranty

I've had a couple things break from Harbor Freight, but they have always been replaced - no questions asked.
