I'm looking for anyone who has had the unfortunate experience of changing their upper and lower ball joints and control arm bushings on a 1995-3500...

Especially on the tools needed to change them. . And the cursing, spitting and growling that may be involved in the actual changing.

I've seen the OTC-7249 ball joint press and the local Snap-On guy has one for $199. 00 but you can get it from www.ntxtools.com for $89. 95 curious, same press.....

i did mine yesterday. i dont have time to post about it right now but monday when i am back from out of town i plan on doing the mother of all posts on ball joints :) watch for it.

Not sure about your truck, but I just changed both upper and lower on the driver side of my 3500 yesterday. Removed upper control arm. Top wasn't very bad but had to really put some pressure on it with the press to get it to press out. Lower was a small pain to get to, but once I got to it, I put a jack under the lower control arm and used an eight pound sledge and hammered it out. Got it all back together and I am not waiting on the alignment man to align the front end . Good luck. Barry
