Ok..... my 01 has 58k miles on it and I've run 33" tires on it since it had almost 10k, and I know this is what probly caused my ball joints to go bad but after what the local dealer priced the OEM ball joints for I deffinately wanted to look around and get them someplace else. Question is, who has replaced them and what kind do you guys reccommend me getting. Also what you do recommend, any part numbers would be helpful or the place where to get them. I'd appreciate the help. Thanks!

Moog (federal Mogul) has replacement heavy duty balljoints for all our current model trucks that are greaseable. Since replacing mine my '98 drives like it did at 5k, oh yeah, I DID have 1/4" of slop in the left lower ball stud... Word up, if you can figure how to losen the nut on the lower ball stud without touching the axle shafts bravo, otherwise anticipate toasting at least one axle seal if your luck is like mine.

Blackdog,

Moog does not have one for an '01 truck. However, I installed an Ingle ball joint (adjustable) and it works fine.

You can contact them and ask them for a distrubutor.

800-641-9795 Part number 615IS.

Thanks

Frank
