Fixin to replace front axle joints and balljoints. I cannot afford Carli or dynatrac and am considering either XRF or McQuay Norris. Haven't seen a whole lot of discussion on these and curious for those that have either, what your opinions are, and, where i might be able to buy them. I am running Moogs (w/ adjustable uppers) and have been unhappy with them and/or the shop that installed them. would like to go back with non adjustable. I've called a few parts houses but none sell the XRF or Mcquay. However, the description one parts guy gave me on their "house brand" sounded real similar to what i read on XRF's website. It's hard to believe these guys don't know who manafacturers their house parts. Any information would be appreciated, thanks. James

I've heard good things about mcquay Norris for the money, that would be my choice if I couldn't do Carli or Dynatrack, I would stay away from any knurled joints since they can open the bore.

Any chance you'd consider buying the Carli's and doing the install yourself? You'd probably come out pretty close on money. There's some great write-ups here on how to.

Having walked this knife edge a few times save your money and go for the Carli's or the Dynatraxx. If you had used them the first time you would not be re doing them now.

I appreciate the responses. The day i posted, i ended up finding a set of the XRF's and ordered them. A buddy and i will do the install and hope we don't run into too much difficulty; hopefully the bearing units will come off with little ease, as they were off not too long ago when i had the bjs installed. As much as i wanted the carli's, just couldn't afford at this time. I hate saying this, but, if i have to re-invest money again under this d@mn truck, I'm selling it. As much as i "baby" this thing, i shouldn't have the issues i'm having. Heck, the only time it goes off road is when i park it in the yard! Anyway, i appreciate the replies. James
