Hey all, I've spent quite a bit of time looking for the specs on adjusting the bands on a 1992 350.

I just picked this thing up (for free!) and the transmission is my first mission. I'm starting with a fluid/filter change and band adjustment. It currently won't shift into overdrive, so I figured I'd start there.

Does anyone have these specs handy?

Any help would be much appreciated.

If it won't shift into OD it's not trans just yet . Does speedo work ? if so it is your TPS sensor on top of injection pump http://www.dnrcustoms.com/zen2/ go here and order the TPS Delete kit and you won't have to worry about od not working .

Along with the sensors, check the kick down cable. Should have springs at both ends, at the throttle and down at the trans. Try getting the truck up to about 55mph, and let totally off the throttle, see if it shifts.. My dad spent money on sensor of all sorts and it was the kick down cable!!

Front band: loosen lock nut, tighten screw to 72IN/lb, (that is inch pounds) and back off 2 1/2 turns and lock the lock nut. Rear band is same except you back it off 4 turns. bg

Are they not the same as the later, lockup 47RE/H's? They torque to 72in/lb, but only pack off 1 7/8 rounds, I thought?
